cultural festivals are fun!

There’s nothing worse for me than arriving in a town with fixed travel dates, and missing a free cultural festival I didn’t know about by a few days (either just before I got there, or after I have to leave). So when some friends invited me to the National festival of culture in Chimoio, Mozambique, I dropped everything, cut my goodbyes short in Namibia, and started a five day trek by land to make it to this event.

It was a fantastic celebration, with each province sharing the best of their music, dance, theatre, film, food, fashion, visual arts and crafts, and energy! The above photo is a small portion of the 1,500 students who danced a beautifully choreographed piece together for the opening ceremony, where I sat maybe fifteen metres from the president of Mozambique!

Rather than talk about everything that was great, I’m just going to share some of the five days of events through photos. Hope you enjoy!

Please let me know if you’re looking for a article writer for your blog.

You have some really good articles and I believe I would
be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d
absolutely love to write some articles for your
blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please send me an email if interested.
    Many thanks!
